You are obviously missing the point. Apple's new subscription model is preventing choice from coming to it's customers. How is that not a bad thing?
What are you talking about? It's enabling choice. Customers have a choice to send their personal data to FT. Before, they did not. What choice is Apple taking away from customers?
Apple says: "give choice to customers."
FT says: "no choice for customers."
And you have the nerve to call people Apple fanboys. That term should nullify your point right then and there.

My first computer had a tape drive. A Commodore Vic 20. I wonder how long a cassette tape needs to be to hold a TB not to mention a PB?

You are essentially asking if you can restore your computer from a backup when you've never backed up your computer. The answer is obviously "no."

Then writing it up and trying to make it intelligible when this is a very high-tech topic took a few days. And here we are less than a week later."
Translation: We are Apple. We know you're stupid.
Having seen some of the incredibly misguided comments here and elsewhere about this issue, I'm inclined to agree with Apple on this one. You would think frequenters of forums like these would grasp the concept of a 'cache', but I can assure you, many don't

might sell my MB and ship it to buyer. local ups store says they have never had any instances where item arrived DOA. they said getting insurance is cheap but don't think i will need it. its $9 additional but seems like a good idea. i am surprised store said it is not a big deal. i figure spend the money. covers lost or damaged item. what if MB won't power up for buyer?

Porsche 930 Slant nose. Damn I just LOVE pop-up headlights....Also, Porsche I believe are the only ones that made decent looking 5mph bumpers back in the day that fit with the car styling...

Soft drinks are another example of a typical loss leader for grocery stores.
Not true.. I am the Art Director for a Art department that makes grocery store ads.
Soda is not a common loss leader since it's DSD Pepsi/Coke keep close price controls.
I usually see produce and meat used as loss leaders..
--------------------------------------------
Another point... I expect that TJ MAXX just bought up a bunch of the Refurbished iPads and is taking a $50 loss on each to get people in the stores.

I think there should be an option in the poll for "No thanks, waiting for the iPhone 5" as it can't be that far away.

I know rumors aren't good to use, but I'm sure there were pre-production parts for the iPhone4 showing up by this time last year, maybe the fact that there isn't gives more credibility to the next version coming later.
Keep in mind that they totally revamped the form last year. They might not do that this year so the iPhone 5 touchscreen could be the same as the iPhone 4. So these suppliers might not know that they are building parts for the new one
I disagree, whether you call it a refresh or all new phone, several things must be addressed by Apple in the current model:
1. replace back glass with metal or carbon fiber enclosure;
2. replace antenna design;
3. use 4" screen, even at same resolution;
4. offer 64gb model.
Or not. Apple is not required to follow your wish list about any product. No matter how clever you think your ideas

I simply want to keep my voice plan the same and choose the new M2M. The M2M feature shows up under our family unlimited messaging thus I was assuming and hoping the voice plan rollover mins would remain unchanged.
I didn't lose any of my roll-over minutes. I have ~1200 and am on the 450 individual plan.

Hmm, that would be interesting. Let's see what iFixit will say about that.
Agreed. All I can say is it looked like the one pictured on the front page here - no grid.

Apple should quit wasting time trying to block jailbreak and work on adding features that other phones have had for many years and that users have been screaming for since the iPhone 1 was released.
Yep Bluetooth filetransfer for contacts and photos would be great. Well music too but
I see copyright concerns. But for your own
Photos and contacts ?
