is there any limitation in sending DHS 7001 to ombudsman?
Because i already sent this form twice and no response so far. Should i send it third time?
There we go again. Now we need to create another ombudsman to make sure current ombudsman office works straight...:p
Call the BLACKHOLE aka cis office, get info about your case, and note the person's badge you spoke, time and day of your call, put it in a letter along with file 7001 and send to ombudsman's office (also mention in the letter that you filed 7001 couple of times earlier). You need to get hold of someone in ombudsman's office and be in constant touch through email or something...You should have been on the conference call past week...Next time you can participate and ask directly...

Does anyone know why NSC is slow in the I140 processing that TSC? My I140 date is October 25'06 and I think I would have to get that converted into Premimum Processing if I dont get approval in next 2 months. I aksed my attorney but she has no clue about the realistic processing times.

I guess amending would be a far cheaper option than filing for a new visa , so that I can get a fresh approval.
Also could you tell me if telling them that the opportunities company wanted to employ me for in the US vanished over the recession, since its genuine that many cmopanies faced such situations.Would that be taken as negative or as an inability of my company or myself for the need of a visa now ?
The thing is that if I say someone was sick or I used the time for studies, and if they ask for a supporting proof, that would be trouble.
Pls advice on that last part and thanks again for the wonderful service.

This is simply called pure selfishness.
The way nk2006 misused IV resources for such a simple personal issue is unpardonable .
Knowing that there are such people among 'highly educated' is disheartening.
First of all its not 56K threads - created around 15. Idea is to create more awareness - someone suggested to propagate in state chapters. In most of state chapters - threads are not active - so posted in about 15 state chapters to get attention of any members who only follow state chapters.
Second of all I am not affected. I am volunteering. I also volunteered and donated earlier for other efforts. I honestly thought that AC21 together with EAD is only good thing that happened to us in the last couple years and thought this campaign would maintain that status.

I don't think you really need the physical card. Canadian Immigration officer simply told me that i am a landed immigrant now, the entry stamp and document attached to the passport are enough for me to come and go freely as long as i live in CA for 2 in every 5 years. So there is no additional advantage from giving an temporary address and getting a card.

They will not let you board the plane otherwise. You will either need the PR card or the entry permit. Check the CIC web site for more info on this. jcrajput.. I have had my renewal stamping done last month in India and am purely stating from personal experience. I was asked for to show 6 months of paystub by the officer. Luckily I had them on me so I could show it.
You can take the minimum but travelling with the minimum puts your family at a risk when you go for the interview. No lawyer or any other member at IV can help you there.It Doesnt hurt to be proactive and prepared in the right way. In this time of recession, more documentation has been asked then ever. For my earlier stamping no documents were required, but this time W2's and paystubs were asked.
You may even want to ask Mr 1000 watt when he last got his stamping done and go by whatever he recommends.

I have a question regarding where to file my EAD renewal application. I am a July filer NJ resident and my I-485/EAD/AP were sent to Nebraska and got the AP/EAD approved through Nebraska going by my LIN no. As per the (C)(9) rules it says NJ residents should file to Texas service center and somewhere else I read that my EAD renewal application should be sent to the location where my I-485 is getting processed.
Please share your experiences.

I just called the USCIS National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283 to get clarification.
The representative I talked to checked with her supervisor, and her response was the following:
- The OMB number at the top is something related to the medical board and has nothing to do with the USCIS. The expiry date is irrelevant to the USCIS. The USCIS only cares about the revision date at the bottom (09/16/05).
In other words, the form that is currently on the USCIS web site is acceptable now and in the future (past 6/30/07) until whenever the USCIS changes which revision of the I-693 will be considered acceptable.

Yesterday I got emails that both me and my wife's 485 were transferred to TSC from NSC although I am staying in Ohio which comes under NSC. It could be the load balancing I think. I hope it's good cos TSC is much faster to process 485 applications. Mine is EB2 March 2006.

My attorney asked me to put A# as N/A. I assume, N/A is applicable to all h1b holders. Make sure, you write the correct I-94#, otherwise they might reject/send back your application because of improper information. I think, it is not appropriate to give A# from your OPT card.
