The now defunct Ethel Meserve hailed from State College, Pennsylvania. They were founded in the early to mid 90's and found its end in 1998. Between this time they released a demo, several 7''s, this full-length and a compilation cd which contains the demo&7''s. The type of music they played can be described as midwest-emo or indie-emo. If you like stuff like Mineral, Boys Life, early Get up kids, you will love Ethel Meserve.
