SS Rajamouli lets out the story of the movie
SS Rajamouli said, “Rayalaseema is known for factionism and violence. But is also known for hospitality. Maryada Ramanna is about a man who is torn with his two extremities of factionism and hospitality. I am going to narrate the story point here. Hero’s father and villain’s brother kill each other (in flashback). Villain is in village looking out for hero to return so that he could kill him. Hero is unaware about the flashback and whales away his time in town. One day, hero comes to village and stay in villain’s home. Villain initially doesn’t know that he is the same guy he was looking for. Villain is great at hospitality. He decides that he would honor hero as long as he stays in his house and hunt him down as soon as he steps out. The rest of the story is about what happens when hero comes to know about it (interval bang). I am excited with the story of the movie. There is neither violence nor vulgarity in this movie. I liked Saloni’s work in Magadheera and cast her as full-fledged heroine in Maryada Ramanna. Sunil initially didn’t believe when I asked him to act in my movie. I asked him to become fit and he took it too seriously to lose loads of weight. She can act without using glycerine. Nagineedu who works in Prasad Labs is doing the role of villain in this movie. He did a Tamil movie and I am spellbound with his performance in that movie. Though there are no fights, we roped in Peter Heins because lot of thread-work is involved. Art director Ravinder did a fabulous job of erecting natural looking house set for the villain. MM Keeravani composed another chartbuster song for this movie in the form of ‘Telugammai’. This song will become hugely popular like the farewell song of Student No.1. My elder cousin Kanchi is providing a story for me for the first time. Shobu Yarlagadda gave me the advance when I was working for Student No.1. He is the most comfortable producer to work with and I can discuss anything with him.”

Nagineedu said, “I am born and brought up in Rayalaseema and Rayalaseema is known for the hospitality. Maryada Ramanna is going to be a pleasant movie.”

In time and in budget - Shobu
Producer Shobu Yalagadda said, “Rajamouli is a budget-conscious director and he made every rupee count. He completed the movie within the budget and within the time-frame.”

Actress Saloni said, “I didn’t expect to get a full-fledged heroine role after doing such a small character in Magadheera. Thanks to Rajamouli, I am starting my second innings with Maryada Ramanna.”

Story writer Kanchi said, “I worked with Rajamouli for all his projects in story department. For the first time I am getting the break with Maryada Ramanna.”

Telugammai is the backbone - MM Keeravani
MM Keeravani said, “Telugammai song is going to be the backbone of Maryada Ramanna album. I got the same feel of watching Maya Bazaar when I watched the rushes of Maryada Ramanna. I am starting re-recording from tomorrow. Music will be launched in 10 days.”

It's a small BIG film - Sunil
Sunil said, “There will not be any action episodes in the movie, but there will be lot of thrill. You will see new actor in me which Maryada Ramanna and you will not see any of my old expressions/style. The comedy in this film is generated out of seriousness of my character. Maryada Ramanna is going to be a small BIG film.”
